Celebrity Cruises will launch their first two river cruise ships in 2027 and in today’s blog, we have all the details about this extension of their popular brand.

THE BRAND

Celebrity River Cruises is an extension of the Celebrity Cruises brand, not a stand-alone company. During travel advisor presentations, we have been told to expect the river cruises to feel like The Retreat onboard the ocean ships – an inclusive experience with the highest level of service and comfort.

They will launch the river cruises in 2027 with two ships – Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker – on two of the most iconic rivers: the Danube and the Rhine. A total of ten ships have been ordered, with Celebrity executives suggesting that many more are to come after that.

Priority booking deposits were accepted on September 3rd but sold out in just minutes. Those customers were able to convert their deposits to bookings on September 10th. Bookings open for the general public on September 25, 2025.
