cruise3sixty Wrap-up: Day Four

c3supdatelogoblog

While most folks are getting excited about Friday and the prospect of the weekend, we’re gearing up for a four-day weekend of activities for us at cruise3sixty.

We kicked things off in the early hours this morning with more classroom sessions. Up first was social media guru Catherine Heeg and some awesome tips for improving our social media. We’ve attended several of Catherine’s talks in the past and now are proud to have her as both a friend and advisor.

The next two sessions were what cruise3sixty calls “Destination Workshops.” Up first was a presentation by Cruise Baltic, featuring some excellent vacation ideas for those wishing to travel to Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea region.

The second workshop featured the location of next year’s cruise3sixty conference: Vancouver, British Columbia. We visit that beautiful city every three years to tour the ships that sail to the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. The folks from BC had some wonderful ideas for extending your stay before or after a cruise.

Our next stop was the Holland America Line update on their brand new ship MS Koningsdam, coming in April of next year. This latest “Dam” ship is going to be amazing and we were shown some exclusive previews of what will be aboard this amazing ship. We’ve uploaded some of those videos to our PCT-TV page for you to check out. Just select our “Holland America Line” playlist for those clips.

After our meeting with Holland America Line, it was time for lunch and the final General Session of this year’s conference.

General Session Three featured a panel discussion and then insights into social media from a very special guest.

The panel was a discussion about luxury cruising, featuring the following industry executives:

Sandy Stevens – Paul Gauguin Cruises
Navin Sawhney – Ponant
Gretchen Bell – SeaDream Yacht Club
Kristian Anderson – Silversea Cruises
Joe Duckett – Windstar Cruises

After the panel, it was time for the day’s keynote speaker – Matt Bailey. Matt is the founder of SiteLogic and a social media and marketing expert. He had some incredible ideas for how (and how not) to market your company on social media and beyond.

After lunch, it was back to the big hall for day number two of the Trade Show. We spent more time shooting some video with the cruise lines. It will take a few days to edit but all those videos will be available soon on PCT-TV for you to check out.

After the trade show, the Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau threw us a nice reception on the trade show floor with drinks and snacks.

Tonight we had the evening free but chose to take it easy with a long weekend ahead.

Tomorrow morning we have one classroom session, followed by a tour of one of the ships that will soon call Galveston home – Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas. We’ll have live updates during that tour plus video and photos tomorrow night.
