Carnival Jubilee will sail her maiden voyage from Galveston<\/a> this Saturday. Today, we’re pleased to share more details about the onboard features on this new ship – specifically, the live entertainment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Aboard the first all-new ship to homeport in\u00a0Galveston,\u00a0Carnival Jubilee\u00a0will host a Texas-sized celebration as one of many Texas twists enhancing Carnival\u2019s<\/a> award-winning\u00a0entertainment\u00a0on its newest ship that will welcome its first guests on December 23rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lone Star Tailgate, a Texas-sized deck party, will take over the ship\u2019s Lido during each cruise. Celebrating the spirit of all-things Texas, the three-hour tailgate is divided into four quarters \u2013 much like a football game \u2013 with the energy of a country fairground and rodeo, with games and giveaways that promise fun for guests of all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Lone Star Tailgate isn\u2019t just a party \u2013 it\u2019s a celebration of family, fun and fierce competition,\u201d said Chris Nelson, vice president of entertainment for Carnival Cruise Line. \u201cWe have created Carnival University, a fictious university in the heart of Texas. It\u2019s the big game night and we are throwing a tailgate party for the whole family. The activities, from races and challenges to a party band celebrating Texas born musical artists, put a fresh take on our crowd-pleasing fun.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the tailgate party, Carnival Jubilee\u2019s entertainment pays homage to Texas in other ways. Guests on the ship, which is proudly adorned with a Texas star on its hull, will hear\u00a0music\u00a0from Texas artists across several areas of the ship. For example,\u00a0Guy\u2019s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse and Brewhouse\u00a0will feature the Backyard Band \u2013 mixing Texas tunes with party band music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carnival Jubilee to Raise Curtain on New Live Show: Dear Future Husband<\/em><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding to popular\u00a0Playlist Productions\u00a0performances already loved by guests across the fleet, Carnival will unveil a new live show aboard Carnival Jubilee: \u201cDear Future Husband,\u201d an interactive pop musical. Guests will follow a bride and groom on a wedding adventure \u2013 aboard a cruise ship \u2013 with their best friends. The cast performs four acts of pop mega hits, like \u201cMarry You\u201d by Bruno Mars, \u201cMoves Like Jagger\u201d by Maroon 5 and \u201cMan! I Feel like a Woman!\u201d by Shania Twain. After the show, guests join in on the fun with a reception of sorts, where they\u2019ll dance to more pop hits and interact with the cast. The party includes a first\u00a0dance, a groom and\u00a0groomsman surprise, and of course, the iconic garter toss and a toast to the happy couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with the new show, guests can also see another live Playlist Production already popular aboard other Carnival ships. With its roots deeply set in the south, the R&B-infused Soulbound tells a sinister story of mischief, mayhem and dastardly deeds set to the greatest R&B hits of all time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carnival Jubilee\u2019s entertainment offerings also include live game shows like \u201cFamily Feud Live\u201d and \u201cDeal or No Deal,\u201d along with stand-up comedy at the\u00a0Punchliner Comedy Club. Popular comedians at Punchliner keep guests laughing with live shows throughout each cruise. Carnival Jubilee will also feature the guest-favorite venue\u00a0Piano Bar, where guests can sit around a grand piano for an intimate musical performance by a live entertainer nightly. From a skilled DJ on Lido to \u201cDive-In Movies\u201d at the Seaside Theater, there\u2019s something for everyone to enjoy on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
