STAR WARS-INSPIRED RESORT PLANNED FOR WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT PROMISES TO BE \u2018UNLIKE ANYTHING THAT EXISTS TODAY\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last summer, Disney announced plans for an immersive Star Wars-inspired resort to be built at Walt Disney World\u00ae Resort. Now we\u2019re happy to share more details on what this thrilling new resort, which will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy\u2019s Edge at Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios\u00ae, will be like.<\/p>\n

This first-of-its-kind resort will combine luxury with complete immersion into an authentic Star Warsstory. Guests\u2019 journey through space will start when everyone departs together for a multiday Stars Wars adventure by boarding a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during a voyage through the galaxy.<\/p>\n

At the resort, Guests immediately become active citizens of the galaxy and can dress up in the proper attire. Every resort window will also have a view into space. The opportunity for immersion at this resort will also stand out among all Disney resorts around the globe, as it will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy\u2019s Edge at Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios, allowing guests a total Star Wars experience.<\/p>\n

PIXAR PIER TO OPEN JUNE 23 AT DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE PARK; NEW \u2018INCREDIBLES\u2019 FLOAT TO JOIN \u2018PAINT THE NIGHT\u2019 PARADE<\/strong><\/p>\n

As Disney Parks Chairman Bob Chapek announced at D23 Expo Japan, Pixar Pier will open June 23, 2018 at Disney California Adventure\u00ae Park. This reimagined land will feature four whimsical neighborhoods representing beloved Pixar stories with newly themed attractions, foods and merchandise. Guests will enter Pixar Pier through a new marquee, pictured above, which will be topped by the iconic Pixar lamp later in the year.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The June 23 opening of Pixar Pier will also include the Incredicoaster \u2013 a super combination of character figures, lighting and special effects that will bring the Parr family racing alongside you in a high-speed adventure.<\/p>\n

Also coming in June is a dazzling new float for the popular \u201cPaint the Night\u201d parade featuring Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Frozone from \u201cThe Incredibles.\u201d This new float will bring all of the fun and excitement of the Incredibles\u2019 world to life with high-tech, pop-art effects inspired by the mid-century-modern style of the films. Dynamic and innovative visual technology will also bring Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack to life, showcasing their powers in surprising ways!<\/p>\n

\u201cPaint the Night\u201d Parade makes its Disney California Adventure Park debut when the first-ever Pixar Fest celebration begins throughout the Disneyland Resort on April 13, 2018.<\/p>\n

ADVENTURES BY DISNEY ANNOUNCES NEW JAPAN VACATION FOR 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adventures by Disney\u00ae made an exciting announcement at D23: A new Japan vacation is coming in 2019! The trip will offer immersive, cultural experiences, such as visiting temples in Kyoto, learning sword techniques with a master samurai, exploring the bustling city of Tokyo and more.<\/p>\n

The Adventures by Disney Japan vacation will open for booking later this Spring, so look for more details on this trip in just a few months. In the meantime, save up that vacation time and plan for an unforgettable Adventures by Disney family vacation to Japan in 2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY\u2019 ATTRACTION AT EPCOT WILL BE ONE OF WORLD\u2019S LONGEST ENCLOSED COASTERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

At D23 Expo Japan, Disney shared a first look at Epcot\u2019s highly-anticipated \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d-themed attraction \u2013and yes, it\u2019s a roller coaster!<\/p>\n

With the \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d-inspired coaster, they\u2019re going big. This one-of-a-kind family attraction will be one of the world\u2019s longest enclosed roller coasters when it\u2019s added to Future World at Epcot\u00ae. It\u2019ll feature a unique story currently being created by Walt Disney Imagineering and include a new innovative ride system that\u2019s guaranteed to \u201cwow\u201d Guests.<\/p>\n

The \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d-inspired coaster is part of our ongoing work to transform Epcot into a place that\u2019s more family, more relevant, more timeless and more Disney. \u201cAs we build upon its core mission of optimism and hope to inspire the world, the real will become fantastic and the fantastic will become real\u2014in whole new ways at Epcot,\u201d Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, said.<\/p>\n

MICKEY & MINNIE\u2019S RUNAWAY RAILWAY OPENS NEXT YEAR AT DISNEY\u2019S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Disney’s first Mickey-themed ride-through attraction, Mickey & Minnie\u2019s Runaway Railway at Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios\u00ae, is opening in 2019 \u2013 and we have new, exciting details to share!<\/p>\n

During D23 Expo Japan, Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, announced the opening year and showed how Disney is pulling out all of the stops to make Mickey\u2019s first attraction an unbelievable experience for everyone. Mickey & Minnie\u2019s Runaway Railway will feature a new catchy theme song created especially for the attraction as well as a new experience that defies logic that we\u2019re calling 2 \u00bd-D. No glasses required.<\/p>\n

On the attraction, the fun begins when Guests see the premiere of a new cartoon short with Mickey and Minnie getting ready for a picnic. As they head out, they drive alongside a train and find out that the engineer is Goofy. Then, one magical moment lets you step into the movie and on Goofy\u2019s train for a wacky, wild ride.<\/p>\n

Mickey & Minnie\u2019s Runaway Railway will put you inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short where you\u2019re the star and anything can happen. And for the first time, Disney shared a preview of what the cars will look like when Guests board the attraction for a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.<\/p>\n

The teams helping create the attraction are currently working with partners at Disney Television Animation\u2014the people who create the popular and award-winning Mickey Shorts \u2013 to keep the characters and story authentic and to make sure you\u2019re able to step through the movie screen and join Mickey and his friends like never before.<\/p>\n

THRILLING NEW PIXAR EXPERIENCES ARE COMING TO LIFE AT DISNEY PARKS<\/strong><\/p>\n

For more than 20 years, Disney Parks has partnered with Pixar to bring their compelling stories and beloved characters to life for Guests visiting our parks \u2013 and this year, they\u2019re happy to share that even more Pixar is coming very soon to both Disney Parks.<\/p>\n

At the Disneyland Resort in California<\/strong><\/em>
\nBeginning April 13, 2018, the first-ever Pixar Fest will be a celebration of friendship and beyond throughout the Disneyland\u00ae Resort. Pixar Fest will feature the debut of the all-new \u201cTogether Forever \u2013 A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular,\u201d the return of \u201cPaint the Night\u201d parade and Pixar Play Parade as well as even more beloved Pixar characters, new d\u00e9cor, atmosphere entertainment, themed food and beverage and new merchandise items. Opening during Pixar Fest, the newly reimagined Pixar Pier will bring new, whimsical neighborhoods filled with your friends from \u201cThe Incredibles,\u201d \u201cInside Out\u201d and even more favorite pals from \u201cToy Story.\u201d The centerpiece of Pixar Pier will be the new Incredicoaster, a super combination of character figures, lighting and special effects that will bring the Parr family racing alongside you in an attempt to catch baby Jack-Jack.<\/p>\n

At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida<\/strong><\/em>
\nNew Pixar-inspired experiences are set for multiple parks as Walt Disney World\u00ae Resort readies its \u201cIncredible Summer\u201d celebration. At Magic Kingdom\u00ae Park, Guests can visit Tomorrowland to party with characters from \u201cThe Incredibles\u201d \u2013 including for the first time, fashionista Edna Mode. Over at Disney\u2019s Animal Kingdom\u00ae Theme Park \u2013 just in time for the park\u2019s 20th anniversary \u2013 a new show inspired by \u201cUp\u201d will star Senior Wilderness Explorer Russell and his furry-friend Dug.<\/p>\n

Toy Story Land is also set to open at Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios this summer. When it opens, Guests visiting this new land will \u201cshrink\u201d to the size of a toy and join in on the fun Woody, Jessie, Buzz, and Andy\u2019s other beloved toys are having in Andy\u2019s backyard. Here, guests can take a ride on the Slinky Dog Dash family coaster, take a spin on Alien Swirling Saucers, or visit a playful guest-favorite \u2013 Toy Story Mania!<\/p>\n

And just a reminder \u2013 we previously shared plans for an attraction coming to the France Pavilion in Epcot\u2019s World Showcase inspired by \u201cRatatouille.\u201d This attraction will be patterned after the experience in Disneyland Paris. In it, guests will shrink down to the size of Remy and join him on a crazy race through Gusteau\u2019s kitchen and restaurant.<\/p>\n
