Actress Jill Whelan has been part of the Princess family ever since she was 11 and starred as Vicki Stubing on The Love Boat, which filmed on Princess ships. Now she has the new title \u201cCelebrations Ambassador\u201d and a mission to encourage special occasion sailing.

\u201cDuring my many years of cruising around the world with Princess, I\u2019ve witnessed countless guest celebrations of all kinds, and I\u2019ve seen first-hand the special nature of celebrating at sea,\u201d Jill says. \u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m so excited to be in this new role for the company.\u201d<\/p>\n

You could say it was a part Jill was born to play. She\u2019s served as godmother to three ships \u2013 Dawn Princess\u00ae, Caribbean Princess\u00ae and their newest addition Regal Princess\u00ae \u2013 and held her own wedding aboard Caribbean Princess\u00ae. Jill also joined her Love Boat castmates on the Princess regal float in the Rose Parade earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Jill\u2019s new position involves activities she\u2019s sure to thrive in, such as writing a collection of celebration guides, starring in a video series and representing Princess at various consumer travel and lifestyle shows. Best of all, she will occasionally have the honor of surprising guests who are celebrating a special occasion on board.<\/p>\n
