Bayrischer is a traditional Bavarian dish typically served in beer gardens. Try this cold cut salad with a nice lager.<\/p>\n

Recipe by Reiner Marks, Director, Business Development, former Viking River Cruise Executive Chef<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/p>\n

\u2022 1\/2 lbs Lyoner or bologna,
\n\u2022 1\/3 lbs Emmenthal cheese (swiss)
\n\u2022 5 oz dill pickles, cut into thin strips
\n\u2022 4 oz red onions, sliced
\n\u2022 1 oz vegetable oil
\n\u2022 1 oz pickle juice
\n\u2022 1 oz white wine vinegar
\n\u2022 1 tbsp sugar
\n\u2022 Salt and pepper to taste
\n\u2022 Parsley for garnish<\/p>\n

Preparation:<\/p>\n

1. Cut the cold cuts and cheese into 1\/3 inch wide strips and combine with the pickles in a bowl.
\n2. Add onions, oil, vinegar and spices and gently mix.
\n3. Refrigerate covered for 20 minutes and serve with oven fresh pretzel or dark bread.<\/p>\n

Prep time 30 minutes.<\/p>\n
